Hello,
We just purchased a business and the previous owner won't give us access to the QBO for the company.
He said he would give us whatever info we request, though.
Is there a way for the previous business owner to save a backup of some sort and send it to us so we have access to all the companies history?
I know he can export individual reports for us but we'd like to get as much history from all aspects of the business as possible versus sort through which reports are the most important for him to give us.
Thanks!
Thanks for joining us today, @emilee.
I have some information about creating back up in QuickBooks. QBO automatically saves your data every time you log out of your account. That said, restoring your file to a previous point in time isn't possible.
For more information, check out this guide: Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks Online?
You might also want to look for a backup application that has similar features in the App Center. Go to https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home or click the Apps tab located in the left navigation menu.
Let me know if you have questions or concerns. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care and have a nice day ahead.
You may ask the former owner to export all of data out by using an exporter tool. They may filter it prior to give you the exported data later.
