I know the importance of adding the right category and HSN code to your products and services. That's why I'm here to ensure you're able to do so in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
You can add the product or service category and HSN code on the Product/Service information page. You're able to add a new category or select one through the Category field. While you can select the Look up here hyperlink to the HSN code that matches your item. Please see the attached file below for your reference.
There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses. You can isolate this by logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:
Once signed in, go to the Products and Services page, then add a new product or edit it to add a category and HSN code. If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies. This is to refresh the system and remove older data that causes the system's viewing and performance issues. However is the issue persists, you can use other supported browsers.
