Hi there,
We have a customer which needs a HubSpot integration. One of the simple steps we'd like to take is to create a custom property on a Project record, for 'HubSpot ID' and have the API pass HubSpot ID into that field, so that the data can be matched between the two platforms. Is it possible to create a custom property on Projects object?
From what I gather, custom fields are possible, but those are only related to use in forms, and this is not the same use case.
Any help you can offer would be massively appreciated!
Cheers,
Joe
Hi there,
I appreciate you taking the time to reach out here in the Community with your question about integrating HubSpot ID to QuickBooks. I'd be glad to share some information about adding projects via API in QuickBooks Online.
Intuit Developer is one of our distinct forums where you can ask queries that involves API. Just sign in by entering your Intuit login credentials, and click Help. You can also locate the tools and API Docs that will assist you there.
Visit this link: https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/homepage.
I'm also adding different articles to further guide you in effectively managing your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and payments.
I wish you and your business continued success. I'll be around if there's anything else I can help with. Take care.
Hi JamaicaA
Really appreciate you replying to me, thank you.
I guess what I'm trying to understand, without needing to go through the API documentation and take the time of our development team to do discovery work on this, is whether it's possible for a non-technical user of Quickbooks Online, to add a custom property? For example Projects have properties for Income, Costs, and Profit, is it possible to add another one for 'HubSpot ID' somewhere on the project? And THEN i'd engage with our developers to use that field via API. Otherwise, I guess I need to know if it's possible to create the property and populate it, via the API. Which would be the next best solution.
Thanks,
Joe
