Creating progress invoice due by quantity

Hello @Lionel2,

Welcome aboard to the Community. I'm here to help you with your concern about progress invoicing in QuickBooks Online.

Currently, the option to enter due based on the quantity on each line item is unavailable. As of now, the only option is to add a percentage of the due amount for the products or services (see screenshot below).

If the product is free of charge (FOC), you can exclude it from your estimate and invoice. As a workaround, you can track this in QuickBooks by using the  Inventory Qty Adjustment feature. For the detailed instructions, I recommend checking out this link: How to record inventory given to customers as free samples.

Though, it would be useful to have a specific column for due of the quantity, too. Our engineers might bring this feature over to this platform in the future. As we assess this, you can check our QuickBooks Blog for product updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Enter your feedback.

I've also attached an article you can visit to include estimate summaries to printed invoices, as well as how to set a default invoice template in QuickBooks: Add project estimate summaries to a progress invoice.

Fill me in if you need more guidance regarding the line item on your invoice. I'm always here to help. Take care always.
