I opened Chat so many time, filled all data, but nothing happened.

What kind of error did you encounter? Did you need opening a new blank QBO account or else?

The source of the figures showing on the sales graph are from the sales transactions for a specific period of time. It doesn't include journal entries posted to your sales accounts and the calculated sales taxes.

Let's double-check the amount shown on your sales graph. This will help us know if it's accurate. Make sure to filter the reporting dates correctly by clicking the This month drop-down arrow.

Then, pull up the Sales by Customer Summary report to check the details of the graph. Here's how:

  1. Click Reports.
  2. Type in "Sales by Customer Summary" in the Find report by name field, then press Enter.
  3. Filter the reporting period.
  4. Click Run report.

You can check out this article to see the complete list of available reports for your QuickBooks Online version: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

I also want to ensure you can pay and file your GST in QuickBooks Online. To clarify, are you trying to match tax payments with online banking transactions? First, you'll have to enter the payment, then match it with the downloaded transaction.

  1. Click on Taxes on the left. It will take you to the Tax Centre.
  2. From the Tax dropdown, select GST.
  3. In the Returns section, locate the period for which you want to enter the payment.
  4. In the Action column against this period, click Record payment or select the dropdown button and click Record payment.

  5. Enter the payment account, payment date, IGST amount, CGST amount, SGST amount, and memo.

Then, here are the steps to match the tax payments with online banking transactions:

  1. Click Banking on the left.
  2. Select the bank account from which you made the payment
  3. Under For Review, look for the tax payment you have made to the tax department.
  4. If the date and amount for tax payment you've entered in QuickBooks match the tax payment downloaded from the bank, QuickBooks would suggest that you match the transactions.
  5. If there's a difference in date, click on the downloaded transaction to expand the section.
  6. Click Find Match. A new window will come up for Match Transactions.
  7. Enter the date range in which you have entered payment in QuickBooks.
  8. Select the transaction and click Save.

These instructions are also available from our guide on recording tax payments and matching them with bank transactions that I'm sure you'll find helpful.

Finally, these instructions below will help you file the GST you owe:

  1. From the left menu, select Taxes.
  2. Select Prepare Return.
  3. Make sure the date range matches the filing period for which you're filing.
  4. Check all amounts are correct and click Mark as Filed.
  5. Print a copy of the tax return and go to your tax office to submit your tax return.
