No worries, I’m here to show you where the Tax Registration Number (TRN) should be entered in QuickBooks, @PictureThis AYS.

In QuickBooks Online, you can simply go to your Account and settings and Company section to set up your TRN. You can follow the steps below to do it:

  1. Within your QuickBooks account, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Company tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon in the Company name section.
  5. Enter your number in the  Tax registration number field.
  6. Select Save and Done after.

If you want to learn more about QuickBooks, from setting up your company, managing user access, and modifying account and login information, this guide can help you obtain it: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online.

Hello there, @PictureThis AYS. I'm here to share additional information about entering Tax Registration Number (TRN) in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, you can enter your TRN in the VAT field on the Accounts and Settings page. Let me provide further information about this. In QBO, the terminology for VAT may be different depending on the location of your company file.

To proceed, you can refer to the steps outlined by my colleague above.

For reference, check out this article: Why do I see a tax charge for my QuickBooks Online subscription?

I'll include this helpful resource that you can use as a guide in filing your sales tax return in QBO: File your sales tax return and record tax payments in QuickBooks Online.

Should you have other questions regarding entering your company details, just leave a comment below. I'd be here ready to lend a hand. Have a good one.

Hey @MadelynC, I checked and the other fields I see in that section from the company logo and name are the business ID# and VAT# fields. Would it be the VAT# field I add as the TRN?
