When we switched to online Quickbooks, we originally transferred all of our data to QBO from the desktop version, but there were so many bugs and issues that we wiped it and chose the "star fresh" option. However, now we cannot import the hours into Quickbooks due to some error code that while the employees are in the Payroll side, they need to be set up in the QBO as well. The person who helped me in the chat advised that this is a bug on QB's end and that they were working on fixing it. So, we have had to enter the hours manually *every* single * time.*
Now, every single time we run payroll, we get this same error message from QBO:" Your payroll went through successfully, but we weren't able to sync your journal entries. Reach out to customer care to fix these errors soon. Let’s get your books balanced." Every single time it is initially implied that we need an "expert" to make sure we are not causing these errors (we are literally just running payroll, and have an accountant that maintains our bookkeeping so this is unlikely), and after they look into it, they say that it was a "glitch on Quickbooks end" so they have to fix it. I have explained to them that this happens *every* time, and no one can seem to figure out how to resolve this. Does anyone have any suggestions?
As a side note: it also won't allow us to save certain changes to our employees (ie: make changes to their tax deductions without contacting a QB agent to do it or add in their employee numbers)
I have called quickbooks and contacted them via chat about 6 times, and we have only been on QBO for a short while. It seems ridiculous that they can't help not make their product a nightmare.
We previously used Quickbooks desktop and had no issues; however, they push you towards the online software by increasing pricing drastically and making the default renewal the QBO. If you're going to push this, you need to fix all of the bugs and missing features (not able .
