QB for Mac desktop - AMD added to currency

Hi

I moved QB for Mac desktop from one computer to another and updated the software.  Now "AMD" is displayed in my invoices and I cannot find how to hide this.  It is causing questions from my clients.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Thanks for joining the Community space, @Luckyreow.

Once you turn on the multicurrency feature, we're unable to turn it off or it cannot be changed in QuickBooks.

Though, we can restore again your company file since you've moved your QBDT Mac to another computer. This way, you can undo recent changes in your company file. I'll show you how:

  1. Double-click the backup file. This opens a new window that shows a copy of your company file.
  2. Drag the copy of your company file to the folder where you keep your QuickBooks company. If you see Attachments Library, drag the folder to the same location.
  3. Open your QuickBooks for Mac.
  4. Select Browse, then go to the folder where you saved the copy of the company file. Click the company file, then Open.
  5. Select Continue for the prompt message.
  6. Enter a name for the company file, then Save.
  7. Hit OK.

Please check this article for additional information on how to restore a company file to sort the issue about losing data: Restore a backup (.dmg).

Please refer to this article what are the common file types and extensions you may see in QuickBooks Desktop for Windows and Mac: File types and extensions used by QuickBooks Desktop.

Stay in touch if you have any other questions or concerns. I’ll be right here to answer them for you. Have a great rest of the day.
