Unknown email address prompting upon re-installation

Hi Everyone! I hope you can help me. Am about to reinstall or move my old purchased QB desktop (Premier 2020) in other computer. I'm also doing the given steps here in the page, but after inputting my license number it keeps prompting me an unknown or not related email address. It said that the OTP sent to that email address.

Is there any chance to contact that email? Or a chance to change that email and replace by mine, since I purchase and paid this quickbooks application. Pls help me.

You have to login to your CAMPS as the Primary Admin to change the email address.

Otherwise, consider purchasing a new one time license for QB Desktop 2020 or 2021 to replace your existing license.

Unknown email address prompting upon re-installation

I can help you with reinstalling your QuickBooks Desktop on another computer and resolve the error message you've encountered when entering your license number, @April Pentinio.

Can you tell me more about the exact error message error you've encountered and you're region? That will help us provide an accurate solution to the error you're having.

To install this QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to this new computer, make sure that your computer's operating system, hardware, software, and other requirements are compatible to run QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2020.

You can get the installer by going to this Downloads & Updates page. Once done, you can now install this to your computer.

  1. Locate the downloaded setup file on your computer.
  2. Click to launch the setup.
  3. Follow the prompts to finish installing your QBDT.

After that, activate your QBDT:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Activate QuickBooks.
  2. Follow the prompts to finish installing your QBDT.

If you're from the US, the install file might be the cause of the issue. You can resolve it by safely deleting the file so you can refresh your registration. If not, let me know.

Just run the 3371 Error Fix from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Follow the steps below:

  1. Close your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Open the file once you're done.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions. Then, open the tool hub.
  4. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, click on Installation Issues, choose 3371 Error Fix and click on OK.
  5. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

Check out this article for more information on error messages and additional solutions if the steps above didn't work: Fix license, validation, and registration errors in QuickBooks Desktop. This will show you how to delete your entitlement file that tells QuickBooks your product is valid and registered.
