Hello there, 9130 3498 2705 3006.
The QuickBooks Online Windows and Mac desktop apps will no longer be supported after April 20, 2021, due to limited use of these apps. We'll stop supporting these apps to invest in other functionality. We'll give you a more integrated experience using QuickBooks Online outside of the browser.
Please know that you can continue using this platform. However, you'll be unable to receive customer support, including bug fixes. With that, I'd suggest accessing your QBO account through your preferred browser once your browser no longer supports your app.

Is there somewhere we can go to voice our opinions about this decision? I'm hoping so many people will be frustrated by this that they'll change course.
My biggest complaint is the web version, as far as I can tell, lacks the ability to flip back and forth between several open windows at one time. This is a key feature the app provides, similar to what your views would be in the Desktop version. I am aware that you can click on reports and open them in a new window but I need this feature in almost everything I'm doing, not just while looking at reports.
Will there be a better method for this moving forward if you're dropping the app?
Hi there, @cscoby.
Thanks for joining this thread and for sharing your insights about the QuickBooks Online Windows and Mac desktop apps that will no longer be supported.
I can see how having these apps and their functionality would be helpful for you and your business. The updates and changes that we implement are largely the results of the suggestions provided by users.
That said, I'd recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team. We value your suggestions about this matter and helps our engineers to determine if we continue the QuickBooks app or not.
Here are the steps to submit feedback within QBO:
For now, I encourage you to visit our QuickBooks Blog. This is the place where we share information if there's a feature update and what our Product Care Team is working on.
Additionally, I recommend visiting this website: Resource Hub. It provides you articles about managing your QBO account, income, expenses, banking, inventory, taxes, and running reports. Just click + More topics under Topics to expand the sections.
I'm always here to help with your QuickBooks needs moving forward. Take care always.
