How can I add locations to products and services report to clarify which number of products are in which branch?

I am stumped this part and I do not want to set up multiple accounts just to filter item locations. Not only that I couldn't find a way to use the multiple locations I set up. I just want a way to add location columns on the final report or set up multiple tables on the same account. Anything to filter inventory items

How can I add locations to products and services report to clarify which number of products are in which branch?

Welcome to the Community, @gaydhstore1. We're excited to simplify your financial management with powerful tools and features tailored just for you!

I'll be sharing some insights regarding the ability to add locations to your Products and Services report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

While QBO doesn't directly allow adding locations to the Products and Services report, you can still track locations by assigning them during transactions. To do this, ensure that you specify a location each time you create a transaction for a product or service. Then, you can run a Sales by Product and Service report, which allows you to view and filter transactions by location, giving you a way to keep track of where products are located.

Let me guide you on how:

1. Go to the gear icon and select Invoice.

2. Select a customer from the dropdown menu. Ensure all information is accurate, particularly their email address.

3. Check the Invoice date, Due date, and Terms, and update these as necessary.

Tip: "Net" in the Terms field indicates the number of days until payment is due.

4. Choose a Location or Add a new one.

5. Click on Add product or service and choose a product or service from the dropdown menu.

6. Decide how you want to calculate the charge—either a flat rate, per hour, or per item. Enter a quantity and rate if required.

7. Then Save and close.

Then you can run the Sales by Product/Service Detail Report.

1. Go to Reports.

2. Type in Sales by Product/Service Detail in the search field.

3. Filter the report by selecting the Report period.

4. In the Rows/columns, choose group by Location.

5. You can also click the mini gear icon and check the box for location, then Run report.
