As of the moment, importing a general ledger from an Excel file directly into QuickBooks Online (QBO) isn't possible. However, you can use a third-party app to automate the process of importing the ledger into QBO.
You can visit the QuickBooks Apps Center or go to the Apps menu on the left panel. Then enter a keyword in the search field to easily find one.
I've included a helpful article that explains how to use the Import Data feature in QBO. This feature allows you to easily bring your lists into QBO by importing various types of information into your company.
If you have further concerns about importing your general ledger in QBO, feel free to come back here in the Community. We're here to assist you 24/7.
