I'm dropping by to help you extract your invoice list with descriptions.
Some reports only display the Message on statement data (on the invoice) under the Memo/Description column.
So, I take it that you're trying to extract the descriptions of the line items on the invoice. So, in this case, we'll want to use a report that shows associated line items.
The best and closest report we can pull up is the Sales by Product/Service Detail report. By default, this shows all related sales from your customers, but we have the option to customise this to include only the invoices.
Here are the steps:
- Go to Reports.
- In the search box, type Sales by Product/Service Detail, then click the result.
- Click the Customise button.
- Make sure that the Memo/Description is enabled by expanding the Rows/Columns section, then checking Memo/Description.
- Expand the Filter section.
- Check Transaction Type, then select Invoice from the drop-down menu.
- Hit Run report.
We also have the option to change how the invoices are grouped. Just select an option from the Group by drop-down menu.
