The best way to import a Trial Balance into QBO is with the import type Journal Entry.
NOTE: Any line in the import file that posts to an AR or an AP Account must reference a name (Customer or Vendor), and that name must already exist in the QBO company file.

What subscription level of Quickbooks online do I need in order to have the option of importing a Trial Balance? I don't show that option when I go into the Import Data module.

I have important information about the Trial Balance option on the Import Data screen.
The Trial Balance option is limited to some countries (such as India) and is available in the Plus version. Since you're subscribed under a different country, you'll want to use an app to import your data instead.
You can look for one in the internet and integrate it with your QuickBooks Online account.
Alternatively, you can always enter your transactions manually such as bills, journal entries and whatnot.

You can pick any QBO plan and utilize the importer tool to import the trial balance as JE as I mentioned in the earlier post.
You may import the trial balance as Journal Entries with the importer tool.
