How to unfile VAT/GST

Once you have filed your tax return, QuickBooks marks it as Mark as filed. To unfile a tax return, you'll need to contact QuickBooks support. Unfiling a tax return can be difficult, and there can be room for error. To ensure your books stay accurate, we take care of this process for you. To unfile your tax return, please contact us and provide the following information:

  1. QuickBooks Online Company ID.
  2. Which tax filing period you wish to unfile.

The unfiling process is carried out by the back-end team. During this process, all users must remain signed out (select Gear icon, then Sign out). Once the tax return has been successfully unfiled, our support team will contacted you.

You can contact the QuickBooks support team by signing into your QuickBooks company file, selecting the Help (?) icon, in the top right of your file, then select or type Contact Support.
