I'll share some information and guidelines to help you achieve your goal. Once the VAT feature is enabled in QBO, there is no way to disable it. Because you are not VAT registered, you can set your account's default tax rate selection to Out of Scope of Tax or No VAT as a workaround. This way, your future transactions will not be linked to any taxes or VAT.
