In QuickBooks Online, you can choose a Place of Supply when creating an invoice. This is the location of the goods that are delivered and is used to identify if the transaction is InterState or IntraState.
Aside from your business location, we also have to check the GST registration type since this will also determine the rate and tax type you'll see in your transactions.
To check:
- Go to Sales menu.
- Select Customers, then click the customer's name.
- Click the Edit button and you'll see the GST registration type drop-down.
