It's possible that you're using a Philippine version of QuickBooks Online, patriciahandrick.

This can be the reason why it's prompting you to enter their tax codes when setting up your sales tax. You can create another account for Ireland and cancel the first one afterward. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear or Settings ⚙ icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online

Once done, create an account for QBO Ireland. Here's how:

  1. Go to this link and select Ireland.
  2. Click Buy now and save or Free 30-day trial.
  3. Select the type of subscription that you're using.
  4. Follow the succeeding steps to create the account.

Then, follow the steps in this article on how to set up sales taxes in your country: Set Up Tax

@patriciahandrick

If your company is located in Ireland, make sure you are using QBO Ireland version, not Philippines version.
