Where in quickbooks can I find the purchases and sales journals?

It’s great to have you in the Community today, ifrs-vol-co-tt.

Allow me to guide you on finding those purchase and sales transactions.

In QBO, there isn’t a built-in report for sales and purchase journals. We can open the Journal Report to view the debits and credits.

Then, run any purchase or sales report to see what's sold and bought by the business. Next, import them to Excel and manually enter the data you want to show in the journal.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Reports on the left panel to enter Journal in the Find report by name field.
  2. Hit the Customise button in the upper left to open the Customise report window.
  3. In the Rows/Columns section, tap the Change columns link to mark the boxes for Debit and Credit.

  4. Click Run report to keep the changes.
  5. Hit the Export icon drop-down to choose Export to Excel.

Pull up any suppliers or customers' reports to view the items sold and purchased by the business. Here's how:

  1. Tap the Reports menu to access the Standard tab.
  2. Navigate to the Sales and customers or Expenses and suppliers section.

  3. From there, choose which report to open.
  4. You can also use the Customise feature to extract the data needed for sales and purchase journals.

Check out the Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online for future reference. You'll also find a link to help export all your QuickBooks transaction data.

Additionally, this link provides a list of different reports as well as links on how to refine the data and download them: Self-help articles.

Reach out to me if you need assistance while working in QBO. I’ll be right here to help. Enjoy the rest of the day.
