Export Limitations

I needed to export all banking transactions I recorded over the past 6 years before I close my account.  But when I did manage to download data, I noticed that there were only 2500 lines of data in the Excel file. This is largely because QBO is still producing old format excel files (XLS - should be XLSX). My question is an application as good as QBO in this day and age cannot fix its export functions rather then making people take several downloads to do their job, unless I am missing anything.

And to make it worse to get around the issue there is no option to split the data to take several downloads to correct myself on my earlier observation. What do you do?

Exporting data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) can be challenging due to various limitations, especially when attempting to download extensive banking transaction histories.   2. Go to the Gear icon located at the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Under the Profile section, select Feedback.
  4. Type in your suggestions and then click on Next.

 

In the meantime, you may want to explore third-party applications that integrate QBO to allow these flexible export functions. You can find available options by visiting the QuickBooks App Store and navigating to the CATEGORIES section to select an app that best suits your needs.

Export Limitations

Thx.  All it needs is the ability to save xlsx format.   This is not elaborate product enhancement request, it is pure laziness not to do it.  As for the product development team, initially I thought they would take things seriously but afterwards I realised that was yet another area to dump issues and not do anything.  I have a list of such enhancements I sent and nothing happened.  So let us not talk up on that.  You guys have a major app and make enough money to resolve these issues only if you throw resources to it.
