I appreciate your concern, Poll. I’d be happy to assist you with changing your bank feed to include all transactions from the last financial year.
In QuickBooks Online, you can typically download up to 90 days or, depending on your bank, up to 24 months of transactions directly through bank feeds. However, there is no option to specify a starting date for bank feeds to pull transactions from a specific financial year directly. Instead, you can manually upload transactions from your bank.
Here’s how:

Hi @JoannaW!
That sounds frustrating and an unusual wait time for an outcome. Have you contacted Support about this extended process?
I go to Edit Account but it is greyed out. I can't select Disconnect this account on save. How do I disconnect a bank feed?
Thank you for joining this thread, @dpettett.
One possible reason you're unable to edit the account is that the primary user may have granted you limited access to the bank accounts. I’m here to assist you in resolving this issue.
Please ensure the primary admin grants you the necessary permissions to edit the bank account. For more information on user roles, you can refer to this article: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, when accessing your account or disconnecting your bank, it's a good idea to use a private window. This helps prevent issues caused by corrupted cache files that can lead to unexpected behaviour within the software. Here are the keyboard shortcuts for opening a private window in different browsers:
You can also consider using another supported browser to enhance your experience while performing various business tasks.
After you're finished, if you're unable to download your bank transactions, you can manually upload them. You can check out this article for guidance: Manually upload your transactions, receipts, and bills into QuickBooks Online.

Bank of queensland have updated their online presence and since they did that, we only receive updates on the amount in the bank - it has ceased directing any of the transactions made into quickbooks. Who do we need to contact to rectify this issue
Hi KB1160,
Let's get your bank transactions up to date in your QuickBooks Online account. Let's edit your bank sign-in information in QuickBooks using the steps below.
Check the bank account if new transactions have downloaded on file. If the issue persists, kindly log in to your QBO account using a new incognito window and use the steps above to update your banks sign in info.
If the behavior is the same, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can escalate a ticket to our banking team to help check the account connection.
In the meantime, you can manually upload CSV files to add your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

A duplicate NAB Bank Feed has appeared that seems to be trying to replace the original NAB feed. The new one shows the correct balance but doesn't contain all transactions & 6 months of previoulsy categorised transactions are showing as uncategorised. How do I resolve?
Thanks for posting in the Community, Emma15.
NAB accounts have the option to connect through Standard and Direct feeds connection. It could both of your accounts have been connected under standard and direct feeds at the same time.
You can keep the NAB account that has the correct bank balance and disconnect the other account that has incorrect balance. If you are not sure how to proceed, I recommend checking in with our Customer Care Team. That way, they can help check your account connection in a secure form and guide you how to proceed with keeping one NAB account.

(324) We can't find this account at your bank?????
Hi Julie,
Can I ask which bank account are you trying to update on file? That way, we can check if there is any related investigation or not for the bank account affected.
If there is any error message showing in the Bank transactions page, I recommend signing in first to your online banking website. Making sure that your log in details works and the account is active.
Once done, let's go back to QuickBooks Online and use the steps below.
1. Click on Bank transactions.
2. Locate the bank account.
3. Click on Refresh/Update button.
If the issue persists, I recommend checking in with our Chat or Phone Support to further check your bank account connection in a secure form.
In the meantime, you can use the manual upload option using CSV files to add your bank transactions.

When I log in to NAB for banking, I need a One Time Password which is sent as text message. When linking a bank account in Quickbooks, I enter the same ID and pass word but the OTP doesn't arrive - can't log in, can't link new bank account. Where to from here? Cure?
Let's get your new bank account connected to QuickBooks Online, @GrayHair. I have some details below to help you fix this sign-in issue.

Hi MarkS57,
Let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the behavior encountered in your QuickBooks Online account. To start with, use a new incognito window or a different supported browser. Using a new incognito window does not store any data file.
Here's how:
Then, log in to QuickBooks Online and let's update your bank's sing in information using the steps below.
Verify if new transactions have downloaded. If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team through Chat or Phone. That way, they can ask for your details in a secure form and can check your bank account connection.
In the meantime, you can manually upload bank transactions using a CSV file to be updated in your books.

The official QuickBooks documentation says about the 'description' field that "QuickBooks might simplify bank text by just giving the supplier name." ...but it gets it so wrong, so often.
Right now, I have a bank transaction in my feed where I paid a person with the surname Marshall, via bank transfer. There's a second where I bought something on credit card from a different person with the surname Marshall. QuickBooks describes both of these transaction as involving "Marshalls". Another time, it wrongly described the transaction as involving "Chapters Indigo" because I paid a local retailer named "Indigo Girls".
So many local Australian businesses are being artificially described as major North American corporations (Borders, Dicks, FreshCo), or just weirdly simplified ("JaDs Hairdressers" is listed as "Dresses"), that it makes categorising *more* confusing, rather than less.
It's difficult enough when the decription is so blatantly wrong, but it gets worse when the automatic description is a business I actually work with. For example, QuickBooks may automatically describe a transaction as "Apple" when it was actually a purchase from the local orchard, rather than anything to do with my iPad.
Is there any way to turn that feature off, or to provide feedback on "No, this is a bad description" or "Yes, this is helpful"?
Hi dotarray,
Thanks for joining the thread! It appears that you're setting up your bank rules using the description which is the simplified version of the bank text. We can set up bank rules based on the bank text so that your transactions will be categorised and added correctly in QuickBooks Online. Here's how to set up a bank rule using the bank text.
Furthermore, if you would like to turn off the bank rules feature, we can do so by following these steps.
Please note that once we disable the bank rules, we'll have to categorise the transactions manually in the For review tab.
For your reference, you may check this article: Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Hello,
I need some advice on how to get our bank systems added to your platform, so we can connect to it and retrieve transaction information. I have twice submitted my request along with URL's to the site login. Its been 8-9 weeks since first submittal. Is there a better method to requesting this for our business? We don't want to do manual uploads of transactions. Please advise. Thank you
Hi RH,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
Let's do some troubleshooting to get your bank transactions downloaded to QuickBooks Online. The first thing to do is to do a manual refresh. Here's how:
If you recently updated your bank information, we can edit your sign-in info in QuickBooks Online to restore the bank feed connection. Here's how:
Furthermore, we can also manually import the missing bank transactions via CSV file.

We're delighted you've joined us in the Community forum, Pat113. The card/access refers to the credentials or the information you provide to establish a bank feed connection in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I've got more details about this.
Specifically, it's the debit or credit card number associated with your online banking credentials, including username, password, and any additional security information your bank requires. The program requests this information to securely access your online banking system and retrieve transaction data directly from your bank.
If you're experiencing difficulties connecting your bank or see error codes while updating transactions in QBO, please check out these resources for detailed guidance:
After connecting your bank and downloading transactions in QBO, you need to categorise them to the correct accounts. You can also use bank rules to speed up this review process.
Real-time access to bank transactions helps improve cash flow management, Pat113. Your proactive approach to monitoring these details is commendable. If there are questions or clarifications you'd like to add, feel free to click on the Reply button. Have a great day ahead.
