Hi, Can anyone assist me- I use the self employed app and have been having trouble connecting to the commonwealth banking network bank. How do i do direct link?

I think the Netbank security has caused the issues but it just wont connect. I thought unlinking the account and relinking would help now its deleted everything even the categorised items.

Commonwealth Bank uses advanced security measures, including additional verification, when connecting to third-party platforms like QuickBooks Self-Employed. This ensures your financial data remains protected at all times. Due to these requirements, a direct link to QuickBooks is currently unavailable.

 

You’re correct that NetBank’s security measures could make the connection process more complex, as financial institutions like Commonwealth Bank frequently update their protocols to maintain high security standards.

 

When you unlink a bank account, the connection to previous transactions is severed, and previously categorized data may be lost. To recover those transactions, you can download your transaction history as a CSV file from your Commonwealth Bank account and then import this data back into QuickBooks.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Go to the Profile ⚙ icon and select Imports.
  2. Choose Import transactions.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  4. Click Import.
