HSBC AU Bank feed still not working after nearly 2 years. When do we expect this to be resolved?

QBO have been promising to fix the for over 18mths and have said that this is a priority however nothing seems to be resolved even though HSBC streams in other countries all work fine and have resolved security conflicts

HSBC AU Bank feed still not working after nearly 2 years. When do we expect this to be resolved?

Hello Embers00,

There is an issue being investigated by our bank feed engineers related to HSBC AU accounts. They are still looking into the cause of the issue, the complex encryption process that is blocking bank feeds. The engineers are working with the bank to find a way around the encryption so they can deliver bank feeds, but have not found a solution as of yet.

We understand that this is frustrating, but cannot provide a distinct timeframe on when a resolution will be found. If you are unable to connect your HSBC bank feed, then uploading CSV files to replace the transactions would be the next course of action.

Thank you Ken for bringing the obvious to my attention. The question is... if the other contries dealing with HSBC have resolved the encryption issues that we also use here (I have USA HSBC accounts) then why is it just AU that cant solve the problem. we all have digital security devices and do the same as UK have done whilst logging into the feed utilising our digital secured codes.

HSBC AU Bank feed still not working after nearly 2 years. When do we expect this to be resolved?

Hello Embers00,

Thank you for getting back to us. I will make mention of the other HSBC regions' bank feeds functioning to the team. I hope it will be of use to the team investigating the issue, and the issue will be resolved sooner.

However, after checking whether there was any more progress made on the investigation today, it does still appear that it is still being looked into.

Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience, but at this stage there does not seem to be an estimated timeframe as to when this issue will be resolved.
