Standard Bank feed versus Direct Bank Feed with ANZ

My ANZ bank feed stopped working as of 02/09/2023. Based on reading issues in the community, I believe ANZ has stopped using Regular bank feeds and only allows direct bank feeds now. Is Intuit going to add direct bank feed support to Quickbooks Self-Employed so I can continue using a direct feed to my account, or will my options be to go without, or upgrade to a supported product that I don't actually need?

Standard Bank feed versus Direct Bank Feed with ANZ

Thanks for providing details about your concern, Jimmy. Let me share some information about the ANZ bank feed connection in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Please know that your bank will be the one to change the platform from the standard feed to direct feeds. If you still want to automate your bank feeds, I suggest upgrading your bank connection from standard to direct bank feeds. You can utilize this article for the complete details: Upgrade to an ANZ direct bank connection.

Please know that you're only upgrading the bank connection, not the product.

If you don't want to upgrade, you can manually upload your bank transactions by signing in to your bank's website, and then download your transactions using CSV files. Once done, you can proceed importing the file to QuickBooks. For the detailed process, check out this link: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Furthermore, each time you put a transaction into QuickBooks, you need to categorise it. This includes transactions you download from an online bank account or enter manually.

Fill me in if you need further assistance or any QuickBooks-related concerns. I'll be around to ensure you can run your business seamlessly.

Nicole,

I don't see a Direct Feed option in Quickbooks Self Employed as of yet. If there is some keystroke I'm missing in Self Employed, please let me know.

Hi Jimmyd998,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I understand the importance to upgrade your ANZ bank account through direct feeds connection. At the moment, the QuickBooks Self Employed account currently supports standard feeds connection type.

You  can either change subscription to QuickBooks Online version to be able to connect your ANZ account through direct feeds connection. Or manually upload your bank transactions using CSV file to add your transactions.

Will Intuit add this functionality to Self Employed. This should be a standard offering across the board for all Quickbooks, not just the Online version. I'm self employed/sole proprietor, and will not require the Online version functionality.
