Hi
Ive become more experienced with using Quickbooks lately, and Ive realised that I made a lot of mistakes with categorizing bank transactions etc. I want to completely restart my reconciliations, but there are too many transactions to undo them individually. Is there a way to restart the process completely? I don't have access to an accountant (apparently they can log-in to undo entire accounts at a time).
Thanks in advance
Hello there, Sabrina.
I'll provide information and ensure you can undo reconciliation in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QuickBooks, you can only unreconcile one transaction at a time. If you need to start over, I'd suggest reaching out to your accountant. Since you've mentioned that you don't have access to your accountant, you'll want to find an accounting advisor near you through this link. They can undo the entire period at once using QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Here's how to invite your accountant:
Additionally, here's how to undo reconciled transactions one at a time:
I've added this article for future reference in reconciling accounts, especially when you encounter reconciliation issues: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
Please come back if you need any further assistance with this process. I'm always here to help.
