Migrating from MYOB to QBO. When importing Chart of Accounts, different words are used by both programs. Is there a glossary?

e.g. MYOB uses "Expense" for Account Type, QBO uses "Expenses" MYOB uses "Bank" for Type, QBO equivalent is "_____" MYOB uses "Accounts Receivable," QBO equivalent is "_____"

Hi gradler-me-com,

Yes, we do have an index of the different Account/Detail types offered in QuickBooks Online. For a list of Account and Detail types, see here and for a breakdown of the description of each Detail Type and what they are typically used for, refer here. While I can't advise what the equivalent would be in MYOB, these articles will describe for you all the different types of accounts that are available to be set up in your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online. If you are looking to import a Chart of Accounts setup, this article will take you through how to do so using a spreadsheet and map this correctly to the QBO fields.
