Anyone else having issued with QB last few days? Not downloading bank accounts properly and my GST box has completely disappeared when trying to categorize transactions.

Anyone else having issued with QB last few days? Not downloading bank accounts properly and my GST box has completely disappeared when trying to categorize transactions.

Let's figure out what's happening and find a resolution in your bank accounts not uploading properly in QuickBooks Online (QBO), redhotau1.

 

To start with, may I know the name of your bank account first?  This helps us better isolate the issue. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve to upload the bank account properly and to show the GST box when categorising the transactions. This might be a simple webpage sync issue so we can press the F5 button or sign out and sign back in to refresh the bank connections.

 

This unexpected behavior can also be caused by a cache-related issue where a browser's cache is full or corrupted. This can cause several issues within the program. One way to rule this out is to use an incognito or private browser. Let me guide you on how: 

 

  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Safari (new versions): Command Shift N

 

Once done, log back into your QuickBooks account and download the bank transactions again. When they appear properly and the GST box appears when categorising them, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This clears the webpage data that's causing the issue. Then, close out any browser instances to complete the process. Alternatively, you can use another supported browser to check your connected accounts.
