Adding BPay to an invoice

Currently, BPay is not an option to integrate with QuickBooks Online. We welcome all customer feedback and this feature request has been provided to our development team for consideration. While we are unable to offer BPay as a payment option to switch on, you can look at the following steps to add the logo/biller code to invoices and add custom fields to invoices:

• Adding the Logo and your Biller Code: To add the BPay logo, you could explore creating and uploading your own custom form style for your invoices. This gives you more flexibility on what does and doesn't show on your invoice and allows you to add extra details like this logo. You can refer to this article for specific information on downloading templates, mapping, common errors to avoid and so on. If your clients are paying you via BPay you can also include your biller code on these custom templates.

• Customer Reference Numbers: Unique fields for a customer reference number are not currently available as something that will display on their invoices; most of the information included in your customers' details is not customer facing and for your own reference. Instead, you can create a custom field titled 'Customer Number' or so on for the invoice templates, which you fill in when the invoices are created as opposed to being prefilled with customer information. See here for more information on custom fields. Alternatively, you can save their number in a field that does carry across to the invoice such as Billing or Shipping Address if you choose.

Adding the logo. Adding a BPay logo and a biller code is simple - thank you.

Customer Reference Number - this is the part which is inexplicably difficult.  There needs to be a simple solution to enter a number into the customer information that can easily be mapped as a scalar field into a custom invoice.  Your suggestion below to use either a billing address or shipping address is unsuitable as these fields are regular used for exactly that purpose - to show the billing address and the shipping address on the invoice.  How about someone add an EZ Map Field for one of the many other fields that are available in QBO, such as one of the four phone numbers (phone, mobile, fax. other)?

Could someone please spend the 15 minutes it would take to add this as an EZ Map Field please.

I'd be more than happy to pass this request along regarding EZ Map fields. We have previously raised to the product enhancement team the requests for a BPay integration that have been raised by yourself and others - while I am unable to advise if or when a feature can be included or rolled out, all feedback is taken on board and given serious consideration. Happy to wait for a solution.  Just want a workable workaround for now.

Just a simple field from the customers information that can be mapped onto a custom field will do for now.

Thanks for joining the thread. At the moment the option to add BPay to an invoice is not yet added in the current set of features offered in QuickBooks Online. The functionality may not be available at this point but we will forward this to our product development team so this may be added in the future. 

You can leave a feedback inside your QuickBooks online account, then clicking on your Gear Icon in the upper right hand corner, then clicking on Feedback. This is the quickest and most direct way to send improvements or suggestions to our system engineers.
