GST and shipping

I couldn't find this answered anywhere.  I have my invoices set to inclusive of GST yet when I print an invoice my shipping is printed as exclusive of GST, is this a problem that others have and what is your workaround?  I asked support and they said this working as designed, I'm just a bit confused . GST and shipping

Hello Sniggihippo,

When it comes to the Shipping field on invoices, the figure does show as a GST-exclusive figure regardless of the invoice defaults and company defaults specified.

The tax component is then combined with the GST from the items on the invoices, to be shown in the Included GST Total field.

However, I do realize it may cause confusion as a result, so I will submit feedback asking the development team to revise the Shipping field so that it changes the way that it displays based on whether the invoice has been marked as Inclusive or Exclusive of GST. I believe this change would result in a much more streamlined experience when issuing invoices to your customers, and a better visual layout for them.

At this stage I'm afraid there is no workaround in regards to this, the system does seem to display a GST-exclusive figure for Shipping. Apologies for the inconvenience, I hope the element will be revised in the near future.

This is so annoying, can you please change the shipping to inclusive of GST, pretty dumb to leave it for so long, come on quickbooks.
