We have approximately 5 different sales invoice templates (depending on clients) each template shows a different bank account).
Is there anyway we can a specific default template to each customer? Right now we are manually selection each time we make a sale and often the user either neglects to change or uses the incorrect template which as you can appreciate is not efficient.
2. How can we show the different bank accounts on the QB templates. It appears as though the only way to enter this is in the footer section
Glad to see you again in QuickBooks Community, @Deano2.
Assigning a default template to each customer in QBO is currently unavailable. You may need to follow the same workaround, which is to manually select the right sales form every time.
Having this option is indeed a great idea. Let me pass it along to the team that handles product enhancements for consideration in future updates.
Other than the footer section, you can also utilise the three Custom fields and name it after the different bank accounts. Simply enable it from the Account and Settings for the boxes to appear on your invoices.
For more information, check out this article: Add custom fields to invoices.
I’m also adding this article that tackles more about the topic: Customise your invoices, quotes, and sales receipts.
Post in the Community again if you ever need anything else. I’m here ready to help. Have a great day!
I have done my own templates with the different bank accounts and I have one with a different business name and imported them in.
once I invoice a customer for the first time and select the invoice required, next time I invoice them it remembers which template I used and automatically chooses selects it.
