Trying to send an invoice in and it won’t send I’m getting a message saying invoice status may be out of date?
Welcome to the Community, @nation71.
Let’s work together to ensure you can send invoices to your customers efficiently.
To start, could you tell me more about the invoice you’re trying to send? Are you resending an existing invoice or sending a newly created one? Also, are you using a web browser or the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app to send it?
I’d greatly appreciate a screenshot of what you’re seeing, as it will help us quickly identify the issue and provide the most accurate assistance.
It’s important to note that the invoice date must be set after the date you began tracking the product or service items. If it’s set earlier, QuickBooks won’t allow the invoice to be sent because all items must exist in your records before they can be billed. This requirement helps keep your records accurate.
In addition to checking your invoice dates, here’s an article you can utilize if your customers aren’t receiving your invoices by email: 3 solutions for when customers aren't receiving your emails.
