Unfortunately, I didn't express myself clearly.
I'm looking to identify all sales transactions that have not been assigned a class. The only way I have been able to achieve this is by running a P&L report by class and clicking on the individual transactions in the "not specified" column and then assign a class to the transaction. Searching by type doesn't do it

Thanks for this response Jorgette G. I can't use the filter to identify those transactions without a class assigned. All the options are "greyed out". Does that mean I need to upgrade my version of QB?
Hi deejayef,
Hope you're doing well! Please allow me to join the thread and share with you some information about searching transactions that do not have an assigned class.
Class tracking feature is available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced only. You can view your current QBO plan by going to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and Billing. Aside from running Sales by Customer Detail report, you may also try to run Sales by Class Detail report.
Let me know if you have any other questions, we're here to help you. Have a great day!
I'm subscribed to QB Plus. There's no "online" in the title of the subscription. I still can't use the filters. I attach a screenshot of the page. When I hover over the filters I get a no entry sign appear.
Hello deejayef,
Thanks for getting back to us. Can I ask how do you access your QuickBooks account? Do you log in using a web browser and go to qbo.intuit.com or do you click a QuickBooks Icon to access your file?
To run the report by Sales by Customer Detail:
That's it. You've now run a report showing the class used in your sales transactions.
