Can I setup a 1 recurring invoice to be sent to 700 individual customers every month.

I'll share with you the two alternative methods to set up a recurring invoice for your 700 customers in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @JMBN

Right now, one recurring invoice applies to a single customer. However, there are two options you can consider to complete your task:

  • Manually create a Scheduled recurring template so you can duplicate it for the remaining 699 customers.
  • Use an Unscheduled recurring invoice so you can edit the template. Then, manually send it to different customers every month.

Here are the steps for the first option:

  1. Go to the Settings (Gear) icon at the upper right.
  2. Select Recurring transactions under Lists
  3. Click New.
  4. Choose Invoice as the Transaction Type and click OK.
  5. Enter a Template name and choose Scheduled as the Type.
  6. Select the customer.
  7. Enter the email address and check the Automatically send emails box.
  8. Choose Monthly as the Interval.
  9. Enter the necessary information.
  10. Click Save template

The screenshot below shows you the last six steps. Then, duplicate the template for the other 699 customers. For the detailed instructions, check out this article: Create Recurring Transactions

For the second option, perform the first four steps above. Then, choose Unscheduled as the template type. This way, you can charge your 700 customers with the same items or services and manually send it to them every month. In the meantime, I'd suggest visiting this website: QBO AU Resource Centre. It helps you learn more about our product innovations. Also, you can enter your First NameEmail, and click Subscribe in the Help Your Business Thrive section. That way, you'll get the latest tips, advice, and resources straight to your inbox to help your business succeed.

Moreover, you can always go back to the Recurring Transactions page. From there, you can edit, use, duplicate, pause, delete, and skip the template to the next date from the Action column. View the screenshot below for your reference.
