Hi jenny-electrowel,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Let me show you how to create an end of month terms in QuickBooks Online.

  1. Go to Gear icon and select All lists.
  2. Select New.
  3. Enter Name for this term.
  4. Tick Due by certain day of the month.
  5. Enter the day of month on the field provided.
  6. Select Save.

Once done, you can try to create an invoice and select the new terms created and check if the due date on the invoice is correct.

Thankyou, but there needs to be a proper end of month term. Not a specific number of days. If I enter an invoice in February because there are 28 days, it says its due on 2 April which is wrong. It needs to be due end of March. I have seen other posts with similar problems. Has this been corrected?

Hi jenny-electrowel,

Thanks for getting back to us. I understand how helpful for you and your business to be able to set an end-of-month term in your invoices. I believe the option you're looking for is unavailable at the moment cause not all months have 31 days.

For months that have 30 days on them, set the net to 29 for Due in the fixed number of days. For months that have 31 days, set the term to net 30 with 30 for Due in the fixed number of days.

In the meantime, as a work around you can manually edit the invoice due date to show the correct end date.

If you have insights for product improvement or product feedback, I would recommend sending them through your QuickBooks Online account and click on the Gear icon, and click on Feedback. This goes straight to our Product Development Team to let them know of what you need. All suggestions are welcome and reviewed for potential product enhancements.

Keep me posted if you have other invoicing concern. I'll get back to help you the best that I can.

This is a useless work around. I have other systems syncing with Quickbooks but now I have to manually run through all those with EOM terms because QB is none responsive in actually responding to this request.

Its a basic requirement
