Will QBO provide a feature to add a snapscan QR code to the invoice template? currently this isn't an option in QuickBooks Online (QBO) invoice template?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I know how important this option to add a snap scan QR code to the invoice template is a great idea to add to the program. No worries, I’ll send it personally to our management team so they could come up with the best course of action to improve QuickBooks.   

Or you you send your request straight to our Developers. They value the opinions of all QuickBooks users and often use this input when deciding on future updates and addition. Simply go to the Gear icon at the top and select Feedback. 

You can also send your product suggestions by going to the following link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests. 

While this isn’t yet available, you may check out QBO’s supported third-party apps with a snap scan QR code template that would allow you to add QR code to the invoice template. Just head to the QuickBooks App Center and search for a keyword like QR code invoice Template to get started.

In the meantime, you can visit the QuickBooks Blog site, from time to time to see new updates. From there, you can see the future developments and the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.

You need a 3rd party app to do so.

Do you know of a 3rd party app that can do this?  Currently, there is none available in the QBO Apps Store.

We're unable to recommend a specific third party app to use. Different apps can integrate with QuickBooks Online, and you can search in the Intuit App Center. If you don't find anything related to the app you're looking, you can try Google search. Since this is a third party app fee might be applied when you use the application.

What kind of business do yo run?

We are in a security business, setting up cctv cameras and intercoms in residential and commercial buildings. The QR code in the invoice will make it easier for our customers especially the residential ones to make payments.

I can see how beneficial it is to be able to add a QR code to the invoice template. We are always looking for ways to improve our products and better support our customers. In QuickBooks Online, you have the ability to submit product feedback. You can send your valuable feedback by going to Gear icon and select Feedback so we can take action to have this feature available for you.

It doesn't integrate with QBO and yet you can accept payments by Stripe. Then you may consider using a connector to reconcile Stripe transactions into your QBO account.
