I set up the new Quickbooks Checking Account a few minutes ago. Did not realize it would not give me the chance to confirm setting it up. How can I delete this account before it is funded?

QuickBooks Checking is only available in the US version of QuickBooks Online. Can you tell us if you have QBO US or QBO Australia? What do you mean by funded? We're asking these questions to make sure that we're giving you the right details to sort this out.

The phone number used in my account belongs to a previous employee that no longer works here. When I go into the security setting to change the number, it still requires a verification code that is sent to the number of the previous employee.
How can I change the phone number without the verification code sent to them?

You can submit a phone change request to update the current phone number on file. Our dedicated verifications team will process your request within one business day.
Access this link to submit a phone change request: Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in. Then, click on the Recover My Account button on the next page select an ID type to attach to the request, and the Reason for request is I need to update my phone only. Fill out the form and other details asked to complete the request.
Within 24 hours check for an email from Intuit [email address removed] with the next steps.

Hi My company ID is [Removed] and my last subscription is wrongly debited on our Amex Card ending 8346 instead of 2073. So we requested you to reverse the charges of A$ 40 back to our card 8346 and charge the same on our new card 2073.
