Hi All, Can we run Management reports on Cash basis accounting, by default its coming as Accrual basis. Thanks,

Thanks for posting here in the QuickBooks Support page, @gurjinder-ttp.

I can share some insights about running the management reports in QBO.

Usually, the report run is based on your accounting method setup in the account settings. Unfortunately, you can't change to accrual basis from the report itself like other standard reports.

To change the accounting method, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Gear icon then Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab and click on Accounting section.
  3. For the Accounting method, choose Cash.
  4. Once complete, click on Save then Done.

See this link to learn more abot the report, see this link: Management Reports Overview | QuickBooks

If you have anymore questions about QBO reporting, please post them here again. I'll be more than glad to guide you further. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Jen_D,

Thanks for clarification, however I have made the changes as per your comments now. But the report is still showing in accrual basis.

Is there anything further you think I can do to fix this.

Thanks

Hi All, Can we run Management reports on Cash basis accounting, by default its coming as Accrual basis. Thanks,

Thanks for following the steps shared by my peer, @gurjinder-ttp. It could be that your cache and cookies stored a lot of temporary files. It can cause some odd errors and may affect QuickBooks' performance.

We can use an incognito or a private browser to confirm browser-related issues by using these keyboard shortcut keys below:

    • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P
    • Internet Explorer: Press CTRL + Shift + P
    • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N
    • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift +

Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and follow the same steps shared by Jen_D.

If you can switch from Accrual to Cash in the report successfully, go back to your regular browser and start clearing its cache. Here's the link that can guide you in this process: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

Otherwise, use another supported, up-to-date browser

See this article for further information to get helpful hints on customising your reports in QuickBooks Online

We always have your back if you need anything else in running your reports in QBO. Take care!

Hi All, Can we run Management reports on Cash basis accounting, by default its coming as Accrual basis. Thanks,

I figured it out!

Go to Accountant Tools - Report Options - then select the basis to cash.

It will save as that basis going forward :)

Thanks
