How do I delete Unrealised Gain or Loss amount in a Profit Project Report?

Hi Julieanne,

If you click on the number for Unrealised Gain or Loss on the Profit Project Report, you should be able to see which transaction(s) that made up to that number. Please review and see if you need to delete any transactions listed to remove Unrealised Gain or Loss on the Profit Project Report.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any follow up questions on this.

How do I delete Unrealised Gain or Loss amount in a Profit Project Report?

Hi Zac,

Thanks for getting back to me. The issue is that, when I do click on the amount, it takes me to the Transaction Report, but the amount on the Profit report for the Previous Unrealized Gain or Loss is not in the ledger. This is a new project with one sales invoice for this month. I haven’t done the Currency Revaluation this month yet ( I normally wait till the EOM).

I’m not sure why it’s listed as Previous Unrealised Gain or Loss.

How do I delete Unrealised Gain or Loss amount in a Profit Project Report?

Hello @julieanne-juille,

The Unrealised Gain or Loss amounts on your report is the indication that you haven't made the revaluation of your foreign currency. This is the reason why your unable to locate any transaction for these amounts on your Transaction List report.

Once you've done the steps of reevaluating your foreign currency, QuickBooks will automatically create a journal entry and adjust the Unrealised Gain or Loss amounts on your report.

In case you need a reference, here's an article you can read to learn more about the Unrealised Gain or Loss amounts of your report. Simply, go to the Revaluation of foreign currency debtors and creditors section in this article: End of Financial Year using QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below. I'll be always around ready to help.
