I am trying to enable PayPal to receive credit card payments on my invoices to clients. I have successfully set up a business account with PayPal and connected and downloaded PayPal transactions ($0) into QuickBooks Online.
However when I create a new invoice and enable credit card payments through PayPal I get:
'There’s a problem with your PayPal account. You may be unable to accept payments on QuickBooks invoices or receive the funds. To fix this, sign into PayPal and follow the instructions. Sign in to PayPal'
Solved! Go to Solution.
PayPal eventually fixed the account so I went back to the devil you know.
I tried Automate.io and Saasant. Neither were as easy to integrate credit card payments as PayPal
Saasant's immediate follow up and offers for assistance were excellent. It is a pity QuickBooks does not provide the same credit card payment solution to Saasant. I think a lot of people would switch over if that were the case.

Hi IHD,
Sorry to hear this is the case. Outside of the PayPal support team giving some instructions on potential troubleshoot options could they confirm that your PayPal business account is now active to accept transactions?
Overall it would be best to reach out to our support team so they can look behind the scenes of the file to ensure everything is setup correctly. Please click here to get in touch with our friendly support staff.
Thanks,

Hi Steven, and or anyone else.
I have given up on PayPal for now. The error is with paypal which is an endless loop of account restricted-account unrestricted. They have not responded to messages nor did I get anywhere by phone other than someone will send me an email at some time in the future.
So I have resurrected a Stripe Account (who have always been responsive). Now I am stuck trying to integrate a credit card payment option into my invoices. At the moment I have successfully connected both PayTraqer and Automate.io. to my bank and Stripe but I have still not discovered how to add a pay by credit card option to invoices.
My situation is I provide consulting services. Some (largely Gov.) clients request a credit card option when the amount is below their 'quote' trigger, so that credit card payment is relatively rare but necessary.
Can anyone advise on how I can add that option to invoicing and preferably a low volume=free service. All the pay options I have seen would create fees greater than credit card income.

Hello IHD,
Thank you for getting in touch. When it comes to QuickBooks Online invoices, the only native option to pay via credit card on invoices is via PayPal.
I understand you have been experiencing issues with PayPal and are looking for an alternative. I'm afraid that we're not able to recommend any other third-party apps specifically, that do allow for payment processing within the invoice, but there may be some available at our apps website.
However, I do understand the intention of the post, and any suggestion from members of the community would also be appreciated.
I hope you are able to find a suitable alternative that works for your purposes.
