Hi there, @eric76g.
Yes, you can have multiple companies in one QuickBooks Online (QBO) account or email address. Each QBO company you create requires an additional subscription.
You can go to our list of products if you want to create a new company and choose which version you want to use. Then, enter your current login credentials. For regular subscription, you'll need to enter your billing info. For the trial version, you'll be routed to set up your company after confirming the subscription. I've added a screenshot to see how it looks like.
If you have a QuickBooks Desktop company file and you'd like to bring it over to your new company in QuickBooks, you can do that within 60 days after you've subscribed to your new QBO company. For more details, you can check out this article: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
You are always welcome to reply in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'd be happy to answer them for you. Have a wonderful day.
One QBO account is for one company file. You may use the same email address to manage multiple accounts.

Otherwise, consider switching to QB Desktop with a single license to manage multiple company files. Deploy a private cloud if required.
Is there discounted pricing for multiple subscriptions?
Thanks for joining in this thread, @sscarp. At the moment, we only have a discounted price for every subscription.
You can visit our Pricing and Plans | QuickBooks Australia - Intuit. From there, you can get a 30% discount for three months if you opt to buy now.
For future reference, you can visit our QuickBooks Articles hub to search for relevant topics in managing your account in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to post some more. I'll be here to help. Have a good one.
Are you kidding me? Go from one $300 purchase every couple of years for desktop. Handle all 3 of my businesses, or go online and pay $ 240 EVERY MONTH, for the same?
My God this is why I so desperately want to drop QB
They abandoned the QBD UK version and only offer the QBD 2022 US and CA 2022 versions with a subscription license. You can still purchase QBD 2021 US version with a one time license until stocks last or consider switching to another cloud-based accounting application at a lower cost.
On the FAQ page it says you can get discounts for multiple accounts and to ring them for the discount. I rang and the lady who barely understood English and had no clue what I was even asking.
Its very frustrating because our accountants have us setup multiple small entities for various tax reasons, we want to use continuity between our micro entities, rather than 2-3 different ways of doing things, but Quickbook charges more than my accountant would per entitiy if I threw the accountant everything in a shoebox and said you do it. It seems quickbooks needs some far better subscription packages given we all either have multiple entities or will end up with multiple entities.
It seems this thread is doing the same thing, just pointing people to the join page. When in reality people with multiple small businesses need a solution that is affordable for micro businesses.

Don't expect them to lower their subscription rate 8)
What you might consider is looking for another brand with lower rates. One app offers a free plan for businesses with annual revenue < USD 50K.
Hi Condog,

I recommend to give us a call at 1800 917 771 for us to further check on your account and see if you're eligible on this offer.
Feel free to post again if you need any help with your subscription. Have a nice day!
What companies have people switched to so they can have multiple companies for less price?
Hi pmb1,
While we can't provide information on what companies people have switched to. Please know in Intuit QuickBooks Online one company is equal to one QuickBooks Online subscription. You can have multiple companies under the same email address, that way you can easily switch between companies you need to manage.
When you sign up for each subscription, you can choose from a 30-day free trial or a BUY NOW option. If you use the BUY NOW option, you can take advantage of the promotional discount offered.
