Undeposited Funds How do I clear them as they are showing up in my Balance sheet

Hi there, @dj87.

I'm here to assist you in clearing your undeposited funds in QuickBooks Online.

To begin, you'll need to deposit funds from the Undeposited Funds account to your bank account. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Click the +New button.
  2. Select Bank Deposit.
  3. Choose your bank account under the Account dropdown.
  4. Select the payments associated that were associated with the Undeposited Funds account.
  5. Click Save and close.

If the payments aren't visible on your end, you can also create a Journal Entry to move your undeposited funds to a bank account. But before doing that, I'd recommend consulting an accountant for advice on which accounts to debit and credit to avoid any errors in your accounting.

Once you've completed these steps, run your Balance Sheet and customize it so that only non-zero rows and columns are shown. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open your Balance Sheet.
  2. Select the Non-zero options on the Show non-zero or active only dropdown.012124SS.PNG

  3. Click Run Report.

After following these steps, your undeposited funds accounts won't appear on your balance sheet anymore.

For more information about the Undeposited Funds account, you can refer to this article: What’s the Undeposited Funds account?

You might want to learn how to personalize your reports so they show the information you need. A detailed guide can be found in this article: Customise reports.
