I am receiving an error message which is preventing me from lodging STP. It relates to backpay lump sum E. The problem is I can't fix the error. It is a simple enough fix it relates to a back pay where I just have to put in the year, which is the current financial year. But I can't unlock the payrun as super has already been paid against it.
Please advise.
Hello dkjones,
You'll have to create an ad-hoc pay run for this to record the back pay of the employee. Since there is a super payment on the affected pay run, we're unable to unlock the pay run.
Creating an ad-hoc pay run is just like creating a new pay run in QuickBooks Online Payroll. Click on the Employees tab, and click on New pay run. Make sure to select the same details that the original pay run has like the pay date and ending pay period.
Once you have created the ad-hoc pay run finalise the pay run and lodge them to the ATO.

Hi Sheila,
This solution is not going to help. The backpay amount is for this financial year 2022 and the latest I can assign a year is 2021.
Can you suggest a work around. I am not going to assign it to an incorrect year.
I can not lodge STP until I fix this.
Regards,
Debbie
