custom invoices for different locations

We can utilize the Location feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a workaround to invoice using different locations, JenniH.

However, please note that the option to directly customize and create separate invoice templates with different addresses that stay fixed for each template is unavailable in the program. When you change the address in one invoice template, it automatically updates the address in all other templates because the company address is shared across the entire account.

Instead, we can set up and use location tracking in QBO. This lets you set up multiple locations, each with its unique address. You can then create invoices linked to these locations, so when you select a location on an invoice, the correct address will appear.

Then, please follow these steps to create a location:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select All lists.
  2. Find and click on Locations.
  3. Click New in the upper-right-hand corner.
  4. Enter the name of the location.
  5. Tick the box for This location has a different address where customers contact me or send payments, then enter the address details.
  6. Once done, click Save.

Once saved, QuickBooks will automatically use the name, contact number, and address you entered whenever you select that Location on an invoice.
