You can use a 3rd party connector to reconcile Square transactions into QBO.
Thanks for laying out the details of your concern, @easterndragonstu.
I'm here to share some information on how transactions sync to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The syncing of transactions in QBO will depend on your third-party app service, such as Square. Thus, if you have set up the Connect to Square app in your QBO account, it will automatically download your Money In Square transactions to QuickBooks. Then, you can review them by going to the Banking/Transactions menu and then selecting App transactions.
In case the transactions are still not showing up even though you have set them up successfully, I suggest reaching out to the Square support team to see if there are any ongoing problems on their end.
However, the Connect to Square app doesn’t import Money Out transactions from a Square Card. You'll need to download them in a CSV file from Square and upload the file to QuickBooks.
Additionally, QuickBooks automatically downloads the most recent transactions and matches them to the ones you've already recorded. Just visit this article for your reference: Categorize and match online bank transactions In QuickBooks Online
