My bookkeeper is changing me over to another accounting package. I want to download my receipts that are attached to individual expense transactions. I currently subscribe to Simple Start. This batch method to export these attachments doesn't work properly
- it downloads a few receipts to the zip file and then nothing happens. I can find all the expense transactions which have receipts attached but I would then have to download all 370 of these one by one. Alternatively, is there a cheap plan to have read only access to QB for five years in case of a tax audit?
I got you covered, @formbygroup.
Read-only access happens after you've cancelled your QuickBooks Online subscription. This will enable you to view your QBO data for a year. After that period, the system will automatically delete your QBO account. To keep your data, you can export your QBO reports, lists and forms and save copies of these on your hard drive. For the detailed steps, please see this article: Export Data out of QuickBooks Online.
For QBO plans and pricing, I highly recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. They can provide options and give you advice on what actions you can take. Here's how:

Also, you can always visit our Help articles page to seek sources to guide you in performing any QuickBooks tasks. Simply type a keyword of your concern on the search field and let the system show related articles to help you.
Post again here if you have other questions about managing your QBO account. I'll be around to help. Keep safe.
Thanks, Divina.
I have tried the steps for downloading receipts as attachments several times. It doesn't seem to work but I'll give it another go next week. What happens is that it downloads the same 20 or so receipts and not the rest. The link you sent mentions apps that can help. I presume that Expensify is what's being referred to? From what I can gather it is good for capturing receipts using a phone and reconciliation but there is nothing that I could find about syncing existing receipts with Expensify and then downloading.
