Expense categories are suddenly not available on iPhone app, anyone know why?

Hello there, @prendergastcivil.

Please know there's an ongoing investigation regarding expense categories not showing in the QuickBooks Mobile App (iOS). Our engineers are currently working on providing a permanent resolution for this issue. With this, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team. They can add you to the list of affected users so you get updates when available. Here are the steps to contact us through the web browser:

  1. Go to Help, then select the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Choose Ask about something else and provide a brief discussion of your concern.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

In the meantime, you can log in to the QuickBooks Online App via iPad or website browser to view expense categories.

You might want to see how much you're paying each supplier every month by visiting this article for guidance: How to run and save a monthly expense report by supplier.

Know that you can always get back to me if you need assistance in managing expense categories in QuickBooks Online. I'll be around to lend a helping hand. Have a nice day!
