I bought books for my business on 29th June in order to get in before the EOFY but the bank transaction is coming up as 1st July & another on 3rd July. Can I amend date?

How do I get them to fall within last financial year instead of this one?

I bought books for my business on 29th June in order to get in before the EOFY but the bank transaction is coming up as 1st July & another on 3rd July. Can I amend date?

Let me assist you in including June 29 & 30 in the previous fiscal year, Kerrie.

I understand how crucial it is to maintain accurate year-end financial records. Since July 1st is the start of the new fiscal year, the date can't be adjusted. However, you can manually download and upload transactions for June 29 & 30 to ensure they're included in the end-of-year financial data.

To get this transaction from your bank:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions to download transaction CSV files to your computer.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download is at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions and save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Here's how to manually upload the transaction:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Choose the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions.
  3. Select the Link account dropdown and then Upload from the file.
  4. Select Drag and Drop or select Files and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Continue.
  5. Select the account from the QuickBooks Account dropdown, upload the transactions, then click Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Select Yes.
  9. When you've accepted your transactions, select Done.
