There is no way to add or specify EFT Payment details on Statements (unlike Invoices). The custom template is not applied to Statements. This inability to specify EFT details on Statements is major deficiency as many accounts departments prefer to pay off statements rather than individual invoices

Hi michael-green,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful insight with us.

It definitely sounds like an enhancement request at this present moment as QuickBooks has not been configured to add EFT details on statements in particular.

I definitely think it would be a great idea and make the payment process much more efficient when sending statements.

If you would like, once logged into QuickBooks Online go to the Settings > Feedback.

This will give you a direct portal to the Product team who receive all of these pieces of feedback to then action accordingly.

This is a great way to make your voice heard on how to make our platform more intuitive and user friendly.

A nice response...... but I've that anonymous Feedback option you specified seems to be a black hole - nothing ever comes out of it.

What you should be doing is at least giving people some feedback once that's submitted e.g. an email and ideally a tracking number - or putting feature requests out publicly for people to up vote like Atlassian does.

Here's a challenge for you - find the Feedback request I submitted and tell me what day and time I submitted it.

Hey Michael,

Again, fantastic feedback and again, I agree with what you're saying here.

The way it works at the moment, the more pieces of feedback received on the same particular topic, the better the chances of that being implemented in the future.

As you can imagine, the platform is massive and there are a lot of different knobs and cogs within the whole ecosystem. So sometimes, certain enhancement requests don't get actioned as quick as we would want them to be.

As for the challenge, I'll ask around the business to see if I can find what you're asking me for and get back to you.

My client's statement is not showing the company phone number and I cannot add the EFT details for payment to the statement either.  His invoices contain this but it is frustrating that this is not appearing on the statement.  I have also included the EFT details in the email that accompanies a statement but this is not satisfactory for statements that need to be printed and posted,.

Also, I cannot edit the statement to ensure it fits in a window faced envelope.  This functionality should be able to be set up in QBO and then forget about it unless there is a change to this information.

Hi ann3586,

I understand how customizing customer statement is beneficial to you and your business. Right now, this feature is still unavailable.

Also, you can try to check on the Standard invoice template in QuickBooks Online where you've entered the EFT payment details. It appears that payment details will show on the statement if it is enter on the Footer section of the standard template.

Here's how to check:

  1. Go to Gear icon and select Custom form styles.
  2. Select Edit on the Standard invoice template.
  3. Select Content.
  4. Select the last part or footer of the invoice.
  5. You can enter EFT payment details on the Footer section. Then try to open the statement created to view if it is showing.

I'd also recommend sending feedback to our product engineers by clicking the Gear icon, then selecting Feedback

Please leave a comment below if you have additional questions about statements in QuickBooks Online.

My company has just "upgraded" to QuickBooks Online, and I am very disappointed that these issues have still not been deemed important enough to resolve!

Being able to add payment details to a customers statement should have happened by now.

Not being able to do this is very disappointing.

It is normal practice for a business to pay on account statement, not on invoice.  Especially if the customer receives more than one invoice per month.

When sending an account statement to a customer who is late paying older invoices, it is also normal practice to have all invoices listed with the payment details on the statement.  This helps the account to be paid without the customer having to search their records/emails for each individual invoice.

Please make this feature a priority ASAP.

Hello there, @leannemcminn.

I recognize how this option would be a great feature to have inside QuickBooks Online (QBO) to make the statement as effective as possible. Since it's still unavailable, I highly recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development Team. Once they see your feature suggestion, they'll evaluate it and consider adding it for future program updates. I'll write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon.
  3. Under Profile column, select Feedback.
  4. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

In the meantime, you can consider sending two separate data for your customer. First is the statement containing all their transactions, and then the other one is the Invoices and Received Payments Report to show your customer's payment details and add a note to it. If you wish to continue, I'd be happy to input the steps to generate the report. To begin, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Reports tab.
  3. In the Search bar, type in Invoices and Received Payments.
  4. Click the Customize button.
  5. Go to the Rows/Columns section, and then select the columns that you'd like to include in the report.
  6. In the Filter section, tick the box beside Customer and then click the dropdown arrow to choose the customer you'd like to be featured in your report.
  7. Once ready, click the Run report button.

Furthermore, I've got these articles to help you keep your current report setting and create a scheduled report that you can email to your customers inside QBO:

@leannemcminn, I'll be happy to have you here again if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns or need assistance performing specific tasks inside the program. Please don't hesitate to visit the Community space or comment below. I've got your back, and I'll help you again. Take care, and have a nice day!

I'm sorting this for now by adding payment info to the cover email - but there needs to be the ability to add payment info to statements. Well done for calling this out.
