Hi julie160,
If the employee is trying to access the employee self-service portal, we'll need to check on your Payroll Settings to confirm if you've grant an access to them.
Here's how:
To activate the account, the employee needs to check their email to set up their password to be able to access the employee portal settings. For more detailed information, you can check on this article: How to Access the Employee Self Service Portal as an Employee.
Let me know if you need any help. Have a nice day!
Yes I have checked all that - I even set myself up as an employee and it works for me. But these employees were setup in another file - then the client decided instead of having locations for her businesses, she would prefer seperate files - so I setup a new file for one business and moved the employees over - terminating them in the old file and granting access in the new file - however everytime they try to login it says they are not active employees - hence it is still trying to log them into the old file.
Hi julie160,
It's good to know that the employees are showing that they have access to the Employee Portal Settings.
We recommend you resend the email activation link to the employees by going to the employee details.
Here's how:
Once done, have your employee's check their email and accept the invitation link.
