How do i pay my employee thru this app?

Hi there,

 

Thanks for posting in the Community! 

 

You can pay your employee in QuickBooks Online by turning on payroll in your account. Let me guide you how to:

 

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click on the Payroll tab.
  3. Click on Choose your plan if you haven't set up payroll.
  4. Select a payroll plan.
  5. Complete the set up for your payroll file by entering your company information and followed by your employee details.
  6. Follow the onscreen prompts.

Once set up, you can process your pay run to pay the employees. To pay employee to their respective banks, you can set up the ABA file in QBO Payroll. Once this is set up, you can upload the ABA file to your online banking and authorise the payment/s.

 

Set up first your ABA settings in your payroll file:

 

  1. Click on Payroll tab and choose Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on Payment Files.
  3. Click on Add.
  4. Fill in the information asked and click on Save.

Then, when you finalised a pay run in the account you can click on Download payment file option to generate the ABA files.
